The College of Health Sciences has organized a two-day training on proposal writing and ethical review for graduate students in the College.

The training was aimed at equipping first year graduate students of the College with proposal writing skills- which is an essential requirement for graduate studies.

The training is an annual event organized for students starting their graduate studies at the College.

The students were taken through; Ethical and Protocol Review Research Resources, Writing a Project, Guidelines for Submitting a Project for Review, Ethical and Protocol Review Committee Administration Issues, Statistical Analysis and Reporting, and Methodology of the Study.

Mrs. Yvonne Lartey, Assistant Registrar for Teaching, Examination-Program and Timetabling at the College, said they were encouraged to continue with the yearly training because of the positive feedback they had been receiving from students.

Some of the resource persons for the workshop were Professor Andrew A. Adjei (Immediate Past Director of Research-ORID); Professor George Obeng Adjei (Director of Research-ORID), Dr. Josephine Akpalu(School of Medicine and Dentistry), Rev. Dr. Tom Ndanu(School of Medicine and Dentistry), Dr. Awo Esi Kwapong( School of Pharmacy)

The College Secretary, Mr. Michael Opare, advised the students to take full advantage of the training. He added that it was the Colleges’ way of giving them a head start.
